Traditional Haitian rhythms, folkloric dance and live storytelling come together in a performance by Miami-based company Tradisyon Lakou Lakay. Presented Saturday, May 22 at the Adrienne Arsht Center, the program is part of the Arsht for Miami series and coincides with Haitian Heritage Month. The production explores Haiti’s history, resilience and creative traditions while recognizing the community’s cultural influence across South Florida.
Through colorful choreography, live music and theatrical storytelling, Tradisyon Lakou Lakay draws on artistic practices rooted in Haitian heritage. The performance highlights the traditions passed between generations and the role of music and dance in preserving cultural memory.
Tickets are offered on a Pay What You Can basis, with free admission available and priority seating for guests who pay the listed minimum. Tickets are required for every attendee regardless of age, with a limit of six per household. Admission is first come, first served and priority entry expires 15 minutes before the performance.
A 20% parking discount is available on a first-come, first-served basis at official Arsht Center premium parking lots. Guests may use the code HAITI when reserving online or paying through the onsite QR code. Advance online reservations close two hours before the performance.
