A friendly ghost and a haunted mansion set the stage for an October screening of Casper at SoundScape Park in Miami Beach. The Wednesday, October 21 presentation is part of the 17th season of the free SoundScape Cinema Series, which projects films onto the 7,000-square-foot wall of the New World Center.
Directed by Brad Silberling, the 1995 family fantasy follows Casper as he tries to befriend Kat, the 12-year-old daughter of a paranormal therapist. Their growing friendship is complicated by Casper’s mischievous ghost uncles and a scheme involving the mansion’s hidden secrets.
The PG-rated film is presented outdoors, rain or shine. Attendees may bring blankets and picnic baskets for the screening.
