Kick-off stone crab season at the South Florida Seafood Festival.

If you’re a seafood fanatic, this festival is for you! On Saturday, October 19th and Sunday, October 20th, the 6th-Annual South Florida Seafood Festival will return to Key Biscayne—and this time, it’s here for two days instead of one. Taking place at the historic Miami Marine Stadium, this tasty festival will kick-off South Florida’s 2018 stone crab season in style. Celebrating life on the water, the South Florida Seafood Festival will bring together 25 gourmet seafood chefs, restaurants and vendors, all with fresher-than-fresh delicacies of the sea. Showcasing South Florida's diverse culture as much as its famous seafood, this all-day, family-friendly affair promises every dish Miami seafood lovers could crave: like Bahamian cracked conch, Jamaican jerk grilled fish, paella, ceviche, lobster rolls and more.

Promising fun for all ages, festival-goers can look forward to more than just eating. The South Florida Seafood Festival 2018 will have dedicated bar areas, cooking demonstrations at the Kitchen Lab, live Caribbean music, a nautical-themed fair with art, jewelry and décor for sale, and even a kids’ area with interactive games, educational exhibits, simulations and live entertainment.

Food & Drink

There will be no shortage of food and drink at this event. Spend your day in Key Biscayne kicking back at the Shipwreck Bar & Lounge tent, where Sipsmith® London Dry Gin will have free gin samples, relaxation areas and a decked-out garnish bar. When you are hungry, head to the food trucks for fresh lobster plates, or grab a seat at the picnic tables by the Casablanca Seafood Bar & Grill tent and chow down on some of the first stone crabs of the season. Then, in the middle of the festival area, get a real taste of South Florida. The local restaurants and vendors with tents at this year’s festival include: Golden Treats, Keys Koncessions, El Pique Rican, Rougers Kitchen LLC, Ronnie & Moe's Italian Ice, Beach Daze, The Spot Latin Grill, Key West Conch Shack, Jude's Famous Pepper Shrimp, The Conch Shell and Elegant Eats, Inc.

Fun for the whole family

While you eat, walk around and take in everything else the festival has in store! Marquise Fair and The Bootleggers will be playing live calypso, steel drum beats and reggae all day long. Not far away, vendors at the Thrifter Market will be selling nautical-themed art, jewelry and décor. In the Kid Zone, there will be obstacle courses, a giant slide, educational exhibits, games, stage performers and surfing simulators where children can challenge each other to see who catches the biggest wave.

Kitchen lab

At the Kitchen Lab tent, adults can watch cooking and cocktail demonstrations by popular chefs and food influencers from across South Florida, like Adrianne Calvo of Chef Adrianne’s Vineyard Restaurant & Wine Bar, Camilo Blanco of Plomo Taco & Tequila Bar, Oscar del Rivero of Jaguar Latin American Kitchen, Shanika of Master Chef Season 9 and Veronica Chaparro of 27 Restaurant & Bar. After you learn how to make your new favorite seafood dish, head to the Grove Wharf, where you’ll find a pop-up seafood market and experts who can help you select the perfect catch to take home and cook for family and friends.
