Immerse yourself in Japanese culture at the Spirit of Japan festival, taking place at the Miami Beach Convention Center from August 16 to 18. This immersive three-day event, presented by Japan Taste Market (JTM), offers an in-depth exploration of Japanese culture through food, performances, exhibits and activities.
Festival-goers can indulge in a variety of Japanese cuisine from over 10 chefs and food vendors, offering a tempting selection of traditional, street food and fusion dishes. Beyond the culinary offerings, attendees can enjoy an array of cultural demonstrations such as calligraphy (Shodo), tea ceremony (Sado) and flower arrangement (Ikebana). Interactive activities include trying on a Yukata (Kimono dress), a chopstick challenge, and traditional games.
The festival also caters to anime and manga fans with screenings, discussions and special guests. Voice actors Yuki Kaji, Sayaka Ohara, and Hiroaki Hirata are among the highlights, alongside American voice actors and cosplayers. A dedicated Vtuber section and a Senpai Squad Party round out the entertainment options.
