A free outdoor wellness gathering brings movement, music and community together in celebration of Black history and collective care.
Squeezed Pilates Social Club: Black History Bash takes place Sunday, February 8 at Dunn’s Overtown Farm in Historic Overtown. Organized as part of Black History Month programming, the event centers on accessible fitness, social connection and cultural celebration in an open-air farm setting.
Founded by Olympian and certified Pilates instructor Ebony Morrison, Squeezed Pilates Social Club blends mindful movement with community-building. The Black History Bash features three instructors offering different fitness styles, along with music, complimentary samples and a post-class social hour designed to encourage conversation and connection. All levels are welcome, and participants are encouraged to bring a mat, water and wear red, black and green in recognition of Pan-African heritage.
Admission is free with registration required, and a participation waiver must be signed. The event highlights wellness as a shared, inclusive experience rooted in history, resilience and community in the heart of Overtown.
