St. Sophia Greek Festival
The date for this annual event has passed. A new date will be provided when available.
Saint Sophia’s annual Greek Festival returns to Miami’s historic Roads neighborhood. Taking place from Friday, February 28 through Sunday, March 2, this annual tradition features popular Greek delicacies such as mousaka (egg plant), pastitsio (Greek lasagna), spanokopita (spinach pie) and tyropita (cheese pie), lamb, gyros, souvlaki, Greek salads and favorite Greek pastries including baklava and honey-dipped loukoumades. The Festival will also feature daily cooking demonstrations and an outdoor Taverna with popular food items and baked goods.
Enjoy live music and performances throughout all three days of the festival. Shop at an array of booths offering arts and crafts, clothing, jewelry, religious art and devotional items and books. Guided tours of South Florida’s oldest Byzantine cathedral will also be offered each day and local historian Dr. Paul George will delve into the history of the local Greek community on Sunday, March 2 at 5 p.m.
