Mar 18, 2026
From: 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM
A new literary series spotlighting Jewish storytelling launches in Downtown Miami with an evening of author conversation, music and community gathering. Stories We Share: A Nu Reads Celebration brings together nationally recognized writers for a discussion on contemporary Jewish life, tradition and reinvention through fiction and memoir.
The event takes place Wednesday, March 18 at Miami Dade College’s Wolfson Campus, in the Auditorium (Building 1, 2nd Floor) and Building 1 Atrium and Plaza.
Presented by Miami Book Fair in partnership with the Jewish Book Council’s Nu Reads program, the inaugural program features Maya Arad, Allegra Goodman, Rachel Kadish and Tova Mirvis in conversation with Tony Award-winning producer and writer Stacey Mindich. The authors’ work spans Hebrew fiction, bestselling literary novels and memoir, including Arad’s Happy New Year, Goodman’s forthcoming This Is Not About Us, Kadish’s The Weight of Ink and Mirvis’s latest novel We Would Never.
Following the panel discussion, guests are invited to an after party with live klezmer-style jazz curated by Vincent Raffard of French Horn Collective, featuring vocalist Shira Lee, along with light refreshments. Books will be available for purchase on-site through Books & Books, with signing opportunities to follow.
Rooted in Miami Book Fair’s Jewish Life and Culture initiative, the Stories We Share series creates space for dialogue and connection through literature in a city shaped by layered identities and global voices.
