Street Stages: Ivan Lotus
This event has passed.
A groove-driven blend of rock, pop and Latin rhythms energizes Flagler Street as Ivan Lotus headlines an early evening set in Downtown Miami. Presented as part of the Street Stages Winter Series, this free outdoor performance brings live music to the heart of the historic Flagler District.
Born Ivan Leyton in Venezuela, Ivan Lotus is a singer, guitarist and songwriter known for fusing funk, rock and tropical influences into rhythm-forward performances. A former member of the Caracas-based band Bomboyash, he later relocated to Miami, where he co-leads the multicultural Lotus Collective. The group’s debut album, Where Is Edgar?, was produced by José Luis “Cheo” Pardo of Los Amigos Invisibles and highlights their signature mix of Latin funk and narrative songwriting. Whether performing with a full band or building layered sounds through live guitar looping, Lotus centers his shows on connection, rhythm and groove.
The performance takes place Saturday, February 21 at 148 E. Flagler St., across from Lost Boy and Over Under. Street Stages runs every Friday and Saturday evening through March 21, activating completed sections of the new festival streetscape with free performances by local artists. Admission is free and open to the public.
