Street Stages: Rose Max Quintet
This event has passed.
Brazilian vocalist Rose Max brings the rhythms of bossa nova and samba to Flagler Street with a live performance as part of Downtown Miami’s Street Stages series.
Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Max draws from Brazil’s rich musical traditions, pairing breezy bossa nova and sultry samba with jazz-inflected arrangements and expressive vocals. Now based in South Florida, she has become a familiar presence on local stages, known for performances that balance technical finesse with warmth and immediacy. Appearing with her quintet, including guitarist Ramatis Moraes, the set blends classic Brazilian repertoire with contemporary interpretations shaped by jazz and soul influences.
Presented by Olympia Arts Miami, Street Stages is a free, community-focused performance series that activates the historic Flagler District with live entertainment. Performances take place directly on Flagler Street, inviting pedestrians, diners and passersby to experience local artists in an open-air setting and engage with Downtown Miami’s evolving streetscape.
This performance takes place Saturday, January 31, from 6-6:45 p.m. at 148 E. Flagler Street, across from Lost Boy and Over Under. Street Stages continues Fridays and Saturdays through March 21, featuring a rotating lineup of local performers across genres.
