Street Stages: William “Kooly” Scott
New dates TBD
From: 6:00 PM to 6:45 PM
Smooth R&B and jazz influences take to the street during Downtown Miami’s Street Stages series with a live set by William “Kooly” Scott. The performance takes place Friday, March 13 on Flagler Street in Downtown Miami.
A singer, bassist and songwriter originally from Fort Lauderdale, Scott blends classic soul and R&B traditions with contemporary grooves. Performing under the name KOOLY, his music features warm vocals and rhythmic bass lines shaped by influences such as Luther Vandross, Earth, Wind & Fire and Larry Graham. His recordings include the single “Twelve O Five,” reimagined with acclaimed bassist Brian Bromberg, along with earlier songs such as “Count 2 3” and “Tell Me If U Like It Later,” which gained recognition in national songwriting competitions.
The concert is part of Street Stages, a free outdoor series activating the historic Flagler District with live performances by local artists. Presented by Olympia Arts MIAMI, the program transforms sections of Flagler Street into a lively gathering space where passersby, diners and visitors can stop to listen and enjoy live music. The stage is located across from Lost Boy and Over Under along Flagler Street.
