Sumo + Sushi Miami

Live sumo wrestling, cultural storytelling and local sushi come together in an immersive experience combining sport, tradition and dining. Sumo + Sushi Miami takes place October 16 through October 18 at The Hangar at Regatta Harbour in Coconut Grove. The touring production introduces audiences to sumo’s 1,500-year history, rules and rituals through storytelling and demonstrations before elite wrestlers face off in live exhibition matches.

The evening is hosted by Konishiki, the legendary former sumo wrestler who became the first non-Japanese-born athlete to reach ōzeki, the sport’s second-highest rank. Drawing on his experience inside the sport, he guides audiences through the traditions and cultural context surrounding the matches.

Ticket options range from viewing-only seating to dining and premium experiences. The Sushi + The Show package includes a curated sushi bento box, miso soup and mochi, while Front Row seating adds a premium bento, one drink and a post-show photo opportunity with the wrestlers. The limited Sky Suite features elevated views, sushi hand-rolled by a chef, an open bar and additional amenities. An optional Get in the Ring experience allows ticket holders to step into the ring with a sumo wrestler.

Friday and Saturday performances are for guests ages 21 and older, while Sunday performances are open to all ages. Doors open one hour before each show.
