Sunshine Showdown Bouldering Competition

Climbers of all skill levels are invited to test their strength and technique at Central Rock Gym Wynwood during a full day of competition and community celebration.
The Sunshine Showdown Bouldering Competition will take place on Saturday, May 17. Open to beginners through advanced climbers, the event features two main categories: Citizens and Open. Climbers in the Citizens Category (recommended for those climbing between V0 and V6+) will compete for prizes in Men's and Women's Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced divisions. Those comfortable with V7+ can register in the Open Category, where competitors will vie for a spot in the finals and a share of a $1,000 cash purse.
The competition will use a Classic Redpoint Format, with over 40 boulder problems ranging from V0 to V11. Scoring is based on the top five completed climbs. Finals for the Open Category will follow an Onsight format and will begin at 7:00 p.m., offering a lively atmosphere for both participants and spectators, complete with free giveaways and prizes.
Registration costs $40 for gym members and $45 for non-members, with an optional limited-edition shirt available for $10. Admission is free for spectators throughout the day.
