Taste of the Caribbean
Sep 14, 2025
From: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Spice, rhythm and island flavor come together for a one-day celebration of Caribbean culture.
Taste of the Caribbean returns Sunday, September 14 at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden. This annual event transforms the Garden into a lively showcase of regional cuisine, music and community, with each experience offering a taste of the Caribbean’s rich diversity. General admission includes access to all performances and activities.
Guests can sample dishes from across the islands—Cuban comfort food from The Cask and Arctic Ice Delicious Delights, bold Jamaican flavors from Eat Da Bone, Yucatecan specialties from Kitchen 1333, and Haitian staples from Tropical Oasis—using $2 tasting tickets available on-site. A rotating lineup of live entertainment brings the energy of reggae, junkanoo and folkloric rhythms to the main stage, while Caribbean cocktails and a mini flight featuring Sangría Haitiana, the Zombie and Durazno Dominicano keep the island vibes flowing.
Hands-on classes include a tropical fruit talk with Seasons Farm Fresh, a cooking demo and the immersive Array of Spice experience led by Spice Rack by Rochelle (separate ticket required). Family-friendly games like limbo and fruit sack races invite guests of all ages to join in the fun, and the open-air Island Market features a curated selection of Caribbean vendors offering spices, artisan goods, hemp products and handmade jewelry.
From bold bites to breezy beats, Taste of the Caribbean offers a vibrant, flavorful day out rooted in the region’s culinary and cultural traditions.
