This event has passed.
A free outdoor film night pairs cinema, cultural activities and a relaxed campus setting for an evening of shared viewing and creative engagement.
Tertulia Nights: Happy Times Film Screening takes place Thursday, February 12 on the lawns of the Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum at FIU. The program features a screening of Happy Times (2000), the acclaimed tragicomedy directed by Zhang Yimou, presented in an open-air environment designed for casual viewing. Guests are invited to bring blankets or lawn chairs and enjoy complimentary movie snacks during the screening.
In addition to the film, the evening includes hands-on arts and crafts activities inspired by Lunar New Year traditions, such as Chinese calligraphy, paper cutting and Chinese knot making. The event is presented in collaboration with FIU Asian Studies Department, Popcorn Frights, FIU Chinese Language and Culture Club and the FIU Chinese Club, with support from the Art Bridges Access for All program.
