The Horrorland

Jungle Island becomes a sprawling scream park each Halloween season, with six haunted houses, three immersive scare zones and a live circus production. Returning for its seventh season, The Horrorland runs on select Thursdays through Sundays from September 10 through November 1. The annual event also features themed food and cocktails, live music, games and staged photo opportunities.

Haunted houses include:

• Honky Tonk: A roadside bar in the middle of nowhere turns sinister as the music distorts, the doors lock and its unsuspecting visitors discover that no one leaves.
• The Covent: A resurrected coven rises from beneath the earth with bodies fused to roots and an army of ritual-bound creatures at its command.
• Dr. Malice: Abomination Project: Human, animal, bone and metal have been stitched into breathing experiments that now search for the missing pieces needed to complete themselves.
• The Orphanage: The spirits of forgotten children wander an abandoned institution, clinging to broken toys and searching for a new family.
• Seven Sins: The seven deadly sins take physical form across a series of rooms where lust, greed, wrath and pride become instruments of judgment.
• Nyctophobia: Guests navigate a pitch-black maze where sound, touch and imagination become the primary sources of fear.

Scare zones include:

• The Ice Cream Men: Sinister vendors emerge after dark, following their targets through the grounds as a familiar music-box melody trails behind them.
• Marry Me: A bride abandoned at the altar searches for someone new to complete her long-delayed ceremony and refuses to accept rejection.
• Moon Cabin: A decaying woodland cabin awakens beneath the full moon, drawing visitors toward a door from which some never return.

Live entertainment includes:

• Circus of Terror: Created by a Cirque du Soleil veteran, the production combines aerial acts, extreme stunts, fire performance, contortion, dance and theatrical horror storytelling.
