Colorful hot air balloons take over the evening sky during the annual Miami Hot Air Balloon Festival at Tamiami Park, offering a large-scale outdoor experience centered on visual spectacle and family-friendly entertainment.
Taking place Friday, February 20, and Saturday, February 21, the festival opens each evening at 5 p.m. and features balloon displays, tethered balloon rides and nighttime programming designed to unfold as daylight fades. Weather permitting, hot air balloons begin setting up and offering rides starting at 6:30 p.m., giving attendees the opportunity to rise above the park for a brief aerial view of the surrounding area.
The evening culminates with a hot air balloon glow and laser show scheduled from 9 to 10 p.m., when illuminated balloons create a coordinated visual display after dark. Gates remain open until 11 p.m., with programming subject to weather conditions. Live timing updates are provided onsite and through the event’s official channels.
