The Steinway Artist Series II
Feb 21, 2027
Starting: 6:00 PM
Pianists Kevin Kenner and Vyacheslav Gryaznov join the Miami Symphony Orchestra for a two-piano program pairing contemporary work with 20th-century orchestral color. The Steinway Artist Series II takes place Sunday, February 21 in Knight Concert Hall at the Adrienne Arsht Center.
Conducted by music director Eduardo Marturet, the concert is the second installment of MISO’s Steinway Artist Series, a season-long focus on piano-centered repertoire and internationally recognized Steinway artists. This program opens with the South Florida premiere of LeFrak’s Lady Liberty Suite, a work shaped by American symbolism and orchestral scale.
Kenner and Gryaznov are featured in Poulenc’s Concerto for Two Pianos in D minor, a lively and inventive work that moves between bright wit, rhythmic drive and lyrical passages. The evening concludes with Stravinsky’s Petrushka, a vivid ballet score known for its sharp colors, folkloric character and theatrical storytelling.
