An open-air evening of music, art and community brings a soulful tribute to Marvin Gaye to the River Room at The Underline.
The Vibe Beneath: The Marvin Gaye Edition takes place Wednesday, November 19, presented by Hampton Art Lovers and produced by The Underline as part of a monthly series that blends visual art with neo-soul-driven programming. Set beneath the Metrorail and along the Miami River, the River Room offers an urban backdrop that complements the event’s focus on sound, atmosphere and creative connection.
This edition honors Marvin Gaye through live vocals by Big Brooklyn Red, curated selections from DJ Six Millz inspired by Gaye’s catalog and neo-soul traditions, and visual artwork by Magda Love. Guests receive complimentary wine and are invited to explore the space, which features notable works including Hank Willis Thomas’s sculpture Peace – Victory.
The event is free with RSVP and reflects the series’ aim to create a gathering place for expression and cultural exchange in the heart of Brickell.
