Third Horizon Film Festival
This event has passed.
Audiences seeking a dynamic window into the Caribbean and its global diaspora can experience four days of bold, socially engaged cinema, live conversations and cultural programming at this year’s Third Horizon Film Festival. The event showcases a wide range of voices that challenge dominant narratives and expand the language of film, with work by emerging and established filmmakers who examine history, identity and the politics of place.
The eighth annual Third Horizon Film Festival takes place May 29 through June 1, at the Koubek Center in Miami, with opening night events hosted at Pérez Art Museum Miami. A virtual component runs June 2–8, providing global audiences access to select programming. The festival features a curated selection of films, artist talks, panel discussions and performances, offering attendees opportunities for both artistic discovery and meaningful dialogue.
Pass options include all-access in-person passes ($280 general admission, $230 for students and seniors), virtual access ($80), and single-day passes ($60). With a focus on independent and diasporic filmmaking, the festival continues its mission to highlight cinema as a tool of resistance, reflection and reimagining—particularly at a time when cultural representation remains a contested space.
