Trick-Or-Treat on the Mile

Downtown Coral Gables transforms into a festive Halloween destination as families fill Miracle Mile for an afternoon of trick-or-treating, live entertainment and themed activities.

Presented annually by the City of Coral Gables, Trick-or-Treat on the Mile invites children and families to arrive in costume and explore the Mile, where participating businesses hand out candy and host holiday fun. The event features face painting, balloon artistry, book readings, magic shows and performances by the Actors’ Playhouse Musical Miracles, along with a Halloween Doggie Costume Contest at the Coral Gables Museum Plaza.

The celebration takes place Saturday, October 25 from 3 to 6 p.m., with free activities happening throughout Miracle Mile and nearby locations. Highlights include:

• 2 p.m. Shrek the Musical at Actors’ Playhouse, 280 Miracle Mile

• 2-4 p.m. Halloween Doggie Costume Contest, Coral Gables Museum Plaza, 285 Aragon Ave.

• 3 p.m. Trick-or-treating at participating businesses

• 3:30 p.m. Magic Show at McBride Plaza and performance by the Actors’ Playhouse Musical Miracles

• 3:30-5:30 p.m. Free balloon art and face painting

• 4-6 p.m. Caricature artist at 150 Miracle Mile

• 4:30 p.m. Kiddie Costume Parade, Actors’ Playhouse

• 5 p.m. Magic Show at McBride Plaza and Spooky Story Hour at Books & Books

Later that night, Coral Gables Art Cinema screens The Rocky Horror Picture Show with live shadow casts at 9 p.m. and midnight.

All Trick-or-Treat on the Mile activities are free and open to the public.
