An evening centered on South Florida’s plant life brings two local horticultural societies together for a relaxed holiday gathering at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden.
The Tropical Flowering Tree Society Holiday Party, co-hosted with the South Florida Palm Society, takes place in the Garden House and offers guests a chance to connect with fellow enthusiasts while enjoying potluck dishes and light refreshments. A door prize featuring a rare potted poinsettia highlights cultivars with unusual colors and forms that are not yet available in stores.
The celebration runs from 7 to 10 p.m. on December 1, with entry through Fairchild’s South Entrance on Old Cutler Road. Both organizations are registered nonprofits, and the Tropical Flowering Tree Society is known for presenting the long-running Royal Poinciana Fiesta and its associated scholarships.
