Varsity Blues: Honoring James Van Der Beek

A late-’90s football drama returns to the big screen with a charitable twist at Rooftop Cinema Club. This special outdoor screening revisits the story of a small-town Texas team forced to rally behind its backup quarterback when their star player goes down, exploring themes of pressure, loyalty and standing up for one another.

Varsity Blues screens Tuesday, March 3 at Rooftop Cinema Club.

Starring James Van Der Beek, Paul Walker, Amy Smart and Jon Voight, the film became a defining entry in the teen sports genre. The evening is presented in honor of Van Der Beek, with 10% of all ticket sales donated to the Colorectal Cancer Alliance, supporting efforts to end colorectal cancer.

Seating is first come, first served. Ticket options include single Adirondack chairs with full-length cushions, Adirondack Chair packages with popcorn and double-wide loveseat seating with popcorn, priced per guest and booked in pairs. Outside food and beverages are not permitted. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. In the event of inclement weather, guests will receive a transfer credit valid for a future screening.
