Vizcaya Late: Binding Histories
Jul 26, 2025
From: 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Handmade books, projection art and personal storytelling converge in a multimedia installation that transforms Vizcaya’s historic Main House into a living canvas. Vizcaya Late: Binding Histories takes place Saturday, July 26, showcasing the culminating work of a four-weekend workshop series led by artists Nicole Combeau and Sean Sullivan.
The event features an animated outdoor projection built from the voices, images and stories of local participants who explored themes of memory, identity and place through bookmaking. Designed as a family-friendly evening, the experience weaves light, sound and narrative into a shared celebration of Miami’s cultural diversity. In the event of rain, all activities will move indoors.
General admission is $15 for adults and $5 for children ages 6–12, with free admission for children 5 and under. Early bird discounts are available through July 10, and complimentary tickets are offered for SNAP/WIC participants, U.S. military and veterans.
Nicole Combeau is a Miami-based artist and educator whose work explores cultural preservation and collaborative storytelling. Sean Sullivan, also known as Sean Was Here, creates immersive projection mapping installations that bring digital art into physical space through shared experiences.
