Vizcaya Village Halloween Harvest Farmers Market

Pumpkins, costumes, seasonal food and hands-on activities fill Vizcaya Village for a Halloween edition of its weekly farmers market. The fourth annual Halloween Harvest Market takes place Sunday, October 25, bringing together local farmers, artisans, food vendors and families for a day centered on fall traditions and South Florida agriculture.

Activities include:

• Pumpkin patch and seasonal photo opportunities
• Chef harvest cook-off featuring locally inspired dishes
• Corn husk doll workshop
• Mi Masa es Tu Masa, exploring corn, food traditions and farming
• Trick-or-treating at participating vendor booths
• Costume contests for children, groups and pets
• Harvest games and lawn activities
• Halloween-themed DJ music
• Local farmers, makers, artisans and specialty food vendors

The event is part of Vizcaya’s Urban Agriculture Initiative, which uses food, gardening and cultural traditions to explore the relationship between people and the local environment. Costumes are encouraged, and activities are open to all ages.
