Discover how John Vassos, considered to be the pioneering founder of industrial design, shaped the aesthetics of the radio and television in the post-war era. As part of Art Deco Weekend, The Wolfsonian presents a talk with Danielle Shapiro, author of John Vassos: Industrial Design for Modern Life, where she will discuss how Vassos contributed to the design of radio and television receivers while working as a lead consultant with RCA. This insightful talk will delve into Vasso’s legacy, namely making radio and television attractive and accessible to millions of Americans.
