Willy's Sunday Tea Dance

Celebrate queer history and summer afternoons with a backyard dance party that pays tribute to a time-honored tradition.

Held on Sundays through August 10 at Willy’s Neighborhood Bar, Willy’s Sunday Tea Dance revives the spirit of the classic gay tea dance with music, movement and a welcoming vibe. What began in the 1950s and ’60s as a workaround to discriminatory laws has grown into a joyful community gathering, and Willy’s is bringing that energy back with a weekly Sunday celebration starting at 5 p.m. in their backyard area.

Expect no cover, happy hour specials from 5–7 p.m. and an open invitation to sip, dance and connect.
