June marks Pride Month, and one of Miami’s biggest parties will be at Wynwood Pride. This three-day celebration of all things LGBTQ+ runs from June 10-12, bringing a fabulous two-day music festival to the historic RC Cola Plant and a Sunday afternoon takeover of the entire Wynwood neighborhood.

While the first Wynwood Pride event in 2019 brought more than 135 artists and 50,000 attendees, the 2022 event is expected to be the biggest celebration yet. Expect a full weekend of live music, show-stopping drag, delicious brunches, dance parties and plenty of glitter, all benefiting Equality Florida.

RC Cola Plant Music Festival, June 10 & 11

Wynwood Pride’s cornerstone event is the two-day music festival at the RC Cola Plant on Friday, June 10 and Saturday, June 11. This year’s headliners will include “Ru Paul’s Drag Race” stars Violet Chachki and Gottmik, as well as Slayyter, Cupcakke and Amelia Banks. On the drag lineup are superstars Miss Toto (who is bringing back her fan-favorite funhouse) and MARINA. The music festival will also have an exclusive artisan market, live DJs, art installations and all-night dance parties.

Single-day tickets run $50 per day and two-day tickets are $90, while single-day VIP passes are available for $150 and two-day VIP passes are available for $250. Visit Tixr for more ticket information.

A Wynwood-Wide Neighborhood Takeover, June 12

You don’t need to buy a ticket to take part in the Wynwood Pride fun. On Sunday, June 12, the festival spills out into the streets of Wynwood for an all-day neighborhood takeover. They’ll be figuratively covering the sidewalks in rainbows, with drag shows throughout the area, as well as special brunches at Wynwood hotspots, custom art installations and surprise celebrity appearances.

Parties will span most of Wynwood’s art district, but the biggest events will include live music at the Oasis, shows at the Wynwood Walls and dancing at the newly opened Crusoe, from the owners of Wynwood staples El Patio and Mayami.

How To Get To Wynwood Pride & Where To Park

Parking in Wynwood can be challenging, so opting for a taxi or rideshare may be the best move. Due to event traffic and congestion, you may want to double the amount of time you would usually budget to get to Wynwood. The nearest public parking garage to the event is the Wynwood Garage at 321 NW 26th St. Parking prices vary, and many locations charge special event rates. Street parking is $2 per hour, if you can find a space.

You can also opt to take the free Miami Trolley. The route begins at the Adrienne Arsht Center Metromover station, then works its way north to Wynwood and back. It runs from 6:30 a.m.-11 p.m. but does not offer service on Sunday.

Tips for Enjoying Your Time at Wynwood Pride

Remember, this is a Pride festival, so first and foremost make sure you go with an open mind and a positive attitude.

June is very warm in Miami, and occasionally rainy, so remember to drink more water than you think you need to and bring rain gear along.

Though it may sound obvious, remember to eat. Pride is a great time, and though Wynwood has fantastic restaurants, sometimes the party is so much fun that people forget food.
