Flamingo Adventures at Everglades National Park
Hotels
Welcome to Flamingo Adventures, your gateway to the wild side of Florida! Nestled at the very bottom of mainland Florida, 34 miles into Everglades National Park, we're your home base for an unforgettable adventure right on the Florida Bay.
Say hello to the new Flamingo Lodge which pays homage to its predecessor, which was lost to Hurricanes Katrina and Wilma. A stylish nod to the past, built tough enough to handle winds up to 160 mph. With 24 modern rooms, including studios and one- and two-bedroom suites—each with its own kitchenette—you’ll wake up to breathtaking views of the Florida Bay. Plus, you can grab a bite or a drink at the new Flamingo Restaurant, a full-service restaurant and bar right inside the lodge.
Looking for something different? Our 20 "glamping" tents offer a mix of rugged charm and cozy comfort. They're built to withstand 120 mph winds and come furnished with lights, fans, power outlets, and your choice of a queen bed, two double beds, or a single double bed (ADA) during season November 1-April 30 and during the summer months they are unfurnished. All you need is your own camping gear. For the traditionalists, we have 55 primitive campsites and 65 RV sites (41 with power).
Ready to hit the water? Our marina is your playground! Rent a pontoon, skiff, kayak, canoe, or even a bike to explore the park. You can also rent one of our four houseboats for a truly unique experience. Stay docked at the marina in your own floating cottage or cruise out for a real-deal Everglades journey.
Don't forget to explore the area with our amazing boat tours! Choose between a backcountry tour that runs all year and takes you on an adventure into the heart of the Everglades for an opportunity to see crocodiles, varieties of birds and diverse plant life and the ecosystems that create Everglades National Park or a seasonal Florida Bay tour (available November 1–April 30) to have opportunities to see marine life and diverse variety of birds that call Everglades National Park home. And before you go, stop by our marina store and fuel station to stock up on supplies!
