Custom Tours Manager - Everglades Alligator Farm

Everglades Alligator Farm has been introducing guests to the Florida Everglades since 1982. The farm welcomes more than 130,000 guests each year and is known for airboat tours, alligator shows, wildlife encounters, and authentic Everglades experiences.
The Custom Tours Department delivers the farm’s most memorable experiences, including VIP Tours, Family Tours, Capybara Encounters, Alligator Encounters, and future specialty attractions.
Position Summary
The Custom Tours Manager is responsible for leading premium experiences while ensuring exceptional guest service, outstanding animal care, strong team development, and efficient daily operations.
This hands-on leadership role includes leading tours, coaching employees, serving as Manager on Duty, and working with ownership to improve and expand guest experiences.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead the daily operation of the Custom Tours Department
- Schedule and oversee VIP Tours, Family Tours, Capybara Encounters, Alligator Encounters, and other specialty experiences
- Coach, train, and develop department staff
- Maintain high standards of guest satisfaction and animal welfare
- Serve as Manager on Duty approximately 2–3 days per week
- Respond to guest concerns and resolve issues professionally
- Identify opportunities to improve operations, guest experiences, and department efficiency
- Assist with developing new tours, seasonal experiences, and special events
- Work closely with the management team to support farm-wide operations
Qualifications
- Previous leadership or management experience in hospitality, tourism, attractions, outdoor recreation, or a related field
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable making decisions and solving problems independently
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences
- Ability to work outdoors in Florida’s climate
- Willingness to work weekends and holidays
- Valid driver’s license required
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
