Role Description
The Assistant Executive Housekeeper is responsible for the oversight of the entire housekeeping department in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper. This role involves managing daily operations, maintaining guest room and public area standards, and leading a diverse team of room attendants and housepersons.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the housekeeping and laundry departments.
- Ensure all guest rooms and public spaces meet Hyatt's rigorous cleanliness and brand standards.
- Lead, train, and mentor the housekeeping team to provide exceptional service.
- Conduct regular inspections of rooms, corridors, and heart-of-house areas.
- Manage labor costs and department supplies through effective scheduling and inventory control.
- Collaborate with the Front Office and Engineering departments to ensure seamless guest transitions and room maintenance.
- Respond to guest requests and concerns promptly, ensuring a personalized and positive experience.
- Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment in compliance with all local and corporate regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of housekeeping management experience, preferably in a large-scale hotel environment.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and motivate a large team.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining luxury standards.
- Proven track record in budgeting, forecasting, and labor management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests and staff.
- Experience with hotel property management systems (PMS).
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are highly preferred in the Miami market.
