Alternative Mia Presents: Hideo Rakudou
Mar 08, 2026
From: 8:00 PM to 1:00 AM
Traditional Japanese instrumentation and experimental improvisation converge in a late-night performance at Churchill’s Pub in Little Haiti. Presented by Alternative MIA, an organizer of underground shows across South Florida, the evening centers on visiting artist Hideo Rakudouan.
Based in Japan, Rakudouan is known for blending classical Japanese sound with contemporary experimentation. His performances often incorporate handmade instruments, live improvisation and collaborative elements, at times pairing music with interpretive dance to explore the space between heritage and modern expression.
The lineup also features Rental Snakes, an experimental project known for textured, genre-blurring compositions; Xela Zaid, a longtime figure in Miami’s alternative scene whose recent work delves into dissonant ambient and noise explorations; and alovesopure. Together, the artists reflect Alt MIA’s focus on boundary-pushing and underground performance.
Alternative Mia Presents: Hideo Rakudouan takes place Sunday, March 8. Tickets are available at the door, with RSVP offered online.
