An Evening of Biographical Design

Bold color, layered textures and personal storytelling shape a design conversation at Maison Mischief in Coral Gables. The program takes place Thursday, August 20 as part of the Miami Center for Architecture & Design’s Design Talk series. Katie and Ruben Gutierrez will explore “biographical design,” an approach centered on creating interiors that reflect personal history, identity and the way residents want to live.

The discussion will examine how expressive choices in color, materials and furnishings can move a space beyond neutral or conventional design. Topics include using interiors to spark conversation, encourage creativity and create a stronger sense of personal connection to the home.
