An Evening with Laura Paresky Gould
Jun 11, 2025
From: 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM
Explore Miami’s urban landscape through a fresh lens as graphic designer and photographer Laura Paresky Gould shares how color, shape and light come together in her distinctive visual approach.
An Evening with Laura Paresky Gould takes place Wednesday, June 11 at the Mayfair House Hotel & Garden. The event marks the launch of Seeing Differently: Miami Color Theory, a photography book that features over 160 minimalist images capturing architectural details across the city. In her debut publication, Paresky Gould combines visual storytelling with lessons in perception, drawing on concepts from her digital series for The Bass museum and her award-winning Instagram account, @miamicolortheory.
Alongside vivid imagery, the book includes reflections on mindful seeing, quotes from noted photographers and a foreword by Silvia Cubina, executive director of The Bass. The project highlights Paresky Gould’s shift from designing motion graphics for brands like Nike and CBS to developing a daily photography practice rooted in observation and color theory.
Books will be available for purchase at the event. Admission details have not been specified.
