Sheila E., the Grammy-winning percussionist whose explosive style helped define the sounds of Prince, Diana Ross and Beyoncé, brings her signature blend of Latin rhythm and pop-funk swagger to the Arsht Center stage.
An Evening With Sheila E. takes place Friday, April 17 in the Knight Concert Hall at the Adrienne Arsht Center. Long known as the Queen of Percussion, she draws on a decades-spanning career that merges virtuosity with high-voltage showmanship.
The program celebrates her latest creative chapter, including Bailar, her first salsa album, and two new 2025 releases: Bailar Deluxe, featuring a Latin version of “The Glamorous Life,” and Sheila E. & Friends Bailar Instrumentals, her debut instrumental project. Raised in a storied Bay Area musical family and honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Sheila E. continues to push the boundaries of percussion-forward music.
