Art Talk: Masterpieces from the Museum Berggruen
Oct 29, 2026
From: 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM
Twentieth-century modernism comes into focus in a gallery talk examining the artists, relationships and collecting vision behind Picasso–Klee–Matisse: Masterpieces from the Museum Berggruen. Presented Thursday, October 29 at Pérez Art Museum Miami, the program explores how collector and dealer Heinz Berggruen shaped a collection that spans Cubism, abstraction, figuration and other major developments in European modern art.
The exhibition brings together approximately 100 works by Pablo Picasso, Paul Klee, Henri Matisse, Alberto Giacometti and other influential artists, including Paul Cézanne and Georges Braque. Organized around themes such as portraiture, still life, interiors and landscape, it also reflects Berggruen’s personal connections with artists and his long engagement with modern art.
Museum admission is free after 5 p.m. on Thursdays. Seating for the talk is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
