Assemblage Building Workshop

Artist Kerry Phillips leads a hands-on workshop exploring assemblage as a way to transform everyday objects into layered, personal artworks. Taking place Thursday, April 9 at Oolite Arts on Miami Beach, the session invites participants to work with found materials and meaningful items. The workshop connects to Phillips’ inclusion in the exhibition “Crossing the Bridge,” offering insight into her practice and approach.

Participants are encouraged to bring a selection of small objects—items that hold personal significance, reflect past projects or have outlived their original use. Through guided exercises, these materials are reimagined and combined into new compositions that reflect individual narratives.
