Bloom After Dark Vol. 8: Life in Digital

Digital culture, fashion and self-presentation come into focus through new work by Mexico City-based artist Alejandro Pinpon at El Jardín Inn in Little Havana. Presented Friday, October 30, Bloom After Dark Vol. 8: Life in Digital marks the eighth installment of the venue’s Artist in Residence series, featuring new paintings and a site-specific mural by Pinpon.

The exhibition examines the increasingly fluid relationship between physical and digital life through images drawn from selfies, social media, clothing, tattoos, jewelry and other markers of personal style. Recurring floating hands serve as playful symbols of technology’s role in everyday life, while Pinpon’s broader practice draws on Latin visual culture and his work across art, fashion, marketing and creative production.

The evening also includes live drawing with Alla Prima and El Mercadito Fridays, featuring local makers, vendors and free fresh produce while supplies last. Admission is free and open to the community.
