Bloom After Dark Volume 5: July Heat

Art, skateboarding, live mural painting and fire performance come together for an evening of community programming at El Jardín Inn in Little Havana. The event takes place Sunday, July 19, highlighting the work and creative contributions of artist Jacksun Benavidez.

Programming begins with a beginner skate lesson at 4 p.m., followed by community skateboard deck painting and a sunset competition presented by Goat Ramp. Cash prizes will recognize best trick, best style, most creative line and crowd favorite. Benavidez will paint a mural throughout the event, with a performance by Lizuli Dragon scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

DJ Angelica Rose provides music, while Mori Matcha offers drinks and bites and SteamyLit presents a selection of books. A dance party beneath the completed mural is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m.
