Books & Books at The Betsy: Afternoon with Paul Yoon

A new novel about war, displacement and the search for home takes center stage during an intimate literary conversation at The Betsy in Miami Beach. The event takes place Sunday, July 26 in Bbar, the hotel’s underground art-filled venue, as part of the monthly Books & Books at The Betsy series.

Author Paul Yoon will discuss Etna, which follows a former military dog crossing a devastated landscape after leaving the soldiers he served beside. Told through the animal’s perspective, the novel considers survival, trust and the possibility of rebuilding after profound loss.

Yoon is the author of six works of fiction, including Snow Hunters, Run Me to Earth and The Hive and the Honey, winner of The Story Prize. The free program includes an audience Q&A, with books available for purchase and signing. Advance RSVP is recommended.
