Cafecito Conversations: Youth Voices & Miami’s Future
Oct 14, 2026
From: Noon to 1:30 PM
Coffee and civic conversation provide a setting for young Miami voices to reflect on community, identity and the city’s future at Miami Dade College’s Wolfson Campus. Presented by the Museum of Miami on Wednesday, October 14, the program features civic engagement leader Maydee Martinez, who will share her path from youth organizing to community leadership. Facilitated discussion will invite participants to consider how local involvement can shape lasting change.
Martinez was the youngest founding member of Engage Miami and previously served as a Teen Miami Intern Curator at the museum. Her experience in civic engagement, youth development and community organizing will serve as a starting point for conversation about navigating local issues and participating in Miami’s civic life.
The free program takes place in Building 2, Room 2106 and includes complimentary coffee from Cienfuegos Coffee for the first 50 participants, along with a pass to the Museum of Miami. Seating is first-come, first-served and advance registration is required.
