A colorful street parade brings the traditions of Colombia’s most celebrated carnival to Coral Gables. Carnaval de Barranquilla Miami takes place Saturday, April 25 from 1 to 7 p.m., beginning at the Colombian Consulate on Aragon Avenue and concluding at Fred B. Harnett Ponce Circle Park.
Inspired by the renowned Carnaval de Barranquilla—recognized by UNESCO for its cultural significance—the event features folkloric dances, music and costumed performers representing Colombia’s Caribbean heritage. Participants and spectators can expect lively processions with traditional characters, rhythmic performances and festive attire that reflect the spirit of the original celebration.
Presented in collaboration with the Colombian Consulate and the City of Coral Gables, the parade offers a community-focused cultural experience that highlights Colombian traditions through music, dance and public celebration along the route.
