Celestia: A Symphony of Light
Jul 18, 2026
From: 8:45 PM to 10:00 PM
Live orchestral music and projection mapping transform Temple Emanu-El into an immersive visual and musical environment for a Miami Beach Classical Music Festival performance. Celestia: A Symphony of Light takes place Saturday, July 18.
Presented by the Miami Beach Classical Music Festival, the program features the Miami Music Festival Orchestra performing works by Debussy and Ravel as light projections animate the venue’s architectural features. The evening pairs Debussy’s Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune and Clair de Lune with selections from Ravel’s Daphnis et Chloé, creating a program centered on color, atmosphere and orchestral texture.
The performance combines live classical music with projection mapping, allowing the visual design to respond to the shape and scale of the space. The result is a concert experience that blends symphonic repertoire, architecture and immersive art.
Founded in 2013, the Miami Beach Classical Music Festival brings emerging classical musicians to Miami Beach for intensive training and public performances. Its annual programming includes opera, orchestral concerts, chamber music, recitals and masterclasses featuring young artists, faculty and guest performers.
