Collage as Symbol
Apr 30, 2026
From: 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM
A hands-on collage workshop at Oolite Arts explores the creative and symbolic potential of working with paper-based materials. The session takes place Thursday, April 30, led by interdisciplinary artist Carol Jazzar.
Participants are introduced to the traditional technique of papier collé, using cut and assembled paper elements to create original compositions. The workshop emphasizes process and experimentation, guiding attendees through a structured approach that encourages personal interpretation and creative exploration.
Jazzar, whose practice incorporates collage as a tool for self-reflection, leads the session and facilitates a group review at the end, offering space for discussion and shared feedback. Open to all experience levels, the workshop includes all materials and takes place in a studio setting on Lincoln Road.
