College Football Playoff: Trophy Trot
This event has passed.
A championship-weekend run brings national title energy to the shoreline as the College Football Playoff Trophy Trot takes over South Beach with 5K and 10K races designed for both serious runners and college football fans. Set against ocean views and palm-lined streets, the event offers a high-spirited way to engage with Championship Game Weekend festivities while fitting in a morning workout.
The course winds through Miami Beach, starting at South Pointe Park. Participants travel from across the country to take part while in town for the College Football Playoff National Championship. This year’s title game features the University of Miami Hurricanes facing the Indiana Hoosiers at Hard Rock Stadium, drawing both local supporters and visiting fans to the city throughout the weekend. All registered runners receive a commemorative event T-shirt and finisher’s medal, with select participants also eligible for chances to win tickets to the championship game.
Part of the broader College Football Playoff Championship Campus programming, the Trophy Trot blends fitness, fandom and community, anchoring a weekend that also includes Playoff Fan Central, AT&T Playoff Playlist Live! and other signature events.
The College Football Playoff Trophy Trot takes place Sunday, January 18, beginning at 8 a.m. at South Pointe Park. Registration is open, with fees varying by race distance and registration period.
