Conductor's Symphony Concert
Jul 12, 2026
Starting: 7:00 PM
Emerging conductors lead a full orchestra in a program of Beethoven and Brahms at Temple Emanu-El Ballroom in Miami Beach. Conductor’s Symphony Concert takes place Sunday, July 12, at 7 p.m. as part of the Miami Beach Classical Music Festival lineup.
The concert features fellows from the festival’s Conducting Institute, where developing symphonic conductors study score preparation, rehearsal technique and orchestral leadership with experienced faculty. The public performance gives these artists an opportunity to apply that training while conducting a full ensemble.
The program includes Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6 in F major, known as the “Pastoral,” a work shaped by scenes of nature and countryside life, and Brahms’ Serenade No. 1 in D major, an expansive early orchestral piece that reflects the composer’s developing symphonic voice.
