Conversations at MOCA: Diana Eusebio
Mar 07, 2026
Starting: 7:00 PM
Textile artist Diana Eusebio joins fellow practitioners for a conversation on natural dyes, ancestral knowledge and cultural memory at the Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami. The panel brings together artists and experts to discuss how plant-based pigments and traditional dyeing practices preserve identity through materials shaped by land and labor.
Conversations at MOCA: Diana Eusebio takes place Saturday, March 7. Participating artists include Eusebio, Christina Day and Porfirio Gutierrez, with moderation by Kandy G. Lopez. The discussion will explore the role of natural dyes across Indigenous Latin American and Afro-Caribbean traditions and consider how these techniques continue to inform contemporary art practices.
Eusebio, a Peruvian-Dominican textile artist based in Miami, is currently featured in MOCA North Miami’s exhibition Field of Dreams. Her work examines color and cultural heritage through research into traditional dyeing methods and their connection to ancestral wisdom. This program offers an opportunity to hear directly from the artist and her peers about the living histories embedded in textile practices.
