An altar, live lucha libre and traditional music anchor a three-day observance of Mexico’s Día de Muertos traditions on Miracle Mile. Día de Muertos: Un Viaje al Mictlán takes place Friday, October 30 through Sunday, November 1 at Maíz y Agave in Coral Gables.
Inspired by Mictlán, the underworld in Mexica tradition, the program centers on remembrance and the enduring connections between the living and the dead. Activities include traditional dances, mariachi performances and catrina and catrín makeup, alongside a special Día de Muertos menu.
