Rooted in fiber and memory, Diana Eusebio’s first solo exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami, explores cultural preservation, ancestral lineage and the enduring connection between people and place.
Drawing from her Indigenous Peruvian-Quechua and Afro-Dominican heritage, Eusebio merges personal narrative with collective tradition, using natural dyes and textiles inspired by both Miami’s ecosystems and the landscapes of her family’s homelands. Her formally trained approach in fiber and textile design intertwines with intergenerational knowledge, reflecting a dialogue between material, memory and place.
Grounded in Miami’s diverse environment, Field of Dreams reflects MOCA’s mission to celebrate local creativity while amplifying narratives beyond its borders, offering a richly layered view of identity, ecology and heritage through contemporary textile art.
