Donald Variste’s Watch & Pray

A charismatic preacher’s public image begins to unravel in a stage drama about deception, faith and the consequences of misplaced trust. The performance takes place Saturday, August 1 at the Sandrell Rivers Theater, with doors opening and food and drinks available beginning at 6 p.m.

Watch & Pray centers on Prophet Worthy, a religious leader who commands attention from the pulpit while concealing a more troubling life behind closed doors. When members of the congregation begin questioning his motives and methods, they confront the challenge of exposing the truth before his influence causes further harm.

Presented by DV Productions, Donald Variste’s play blends church-centered drama, humor and themes of spiritual discernment. General admission tickets are $65, while VIP admission is $85.
