Family Fest at ICA

On Sunday, October 6, the Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami (ICA), in collaboration with the Miami Design District, invites families to enjoy a day of creativity and fun at the annual Family Fest. This year’s theme, Me and You and the Ocean Blue!, sets the stage for an afternoon filled with ocean-inspired activities and performances.

The event features live-action storytelling, where children can help a little lost mermaid find her way home, and a captivating magical bubble show. Families can explore ICA Miami’s galleries while enjoying music by a New World Symphony artist and participating in interactive dance activities inspired by contemporary artworks. Art-making sessions with local artists, face painting, a photo booth with creative props and beats by PATH: Preserving, Archiving & Teaching Hip Hop will be ongoing throughout the afternoon.

Activities extend into the Miami Design District, offering special deals and additional family-friendly activities at nearby restaurants and stores. The first 200 families to arrive will receive swag bags, and refreshments will be available in the museum’s sculpture garden.
